Our Homestays operate out of a large, child friendly farmhouse, full of interesting paintings, craft work and things happening. We live on the edge of Peel Forest Park and have access to the tracks from our place. We are surrounded by trees, have a large vegetable garden, plenty of fruit and nut trees, a few cows, sheep, horses, chooks and ducks and there are always lots of native birds flying about. Most of the food we eat is produced by us in our big farm kitchen and our house and water are heated from a big stove using firewood produced on our own property.
The heartbeat of our homestays comes from our Christian world view which desires to give guests a friendly, warm welcome in a beautiful environment. A chance to unwind and recharge wounded lives, a stop over between the Mackenzie country and Christchurch or just for a quiet weekend away from the bustle of city life. We can provide meals or you can use our kitchen. Alternately Peel Forest has a very good café just 2 minutes away and Geraldine is full of interesting places to eat.
We have:
1 lovely, sunny double bedroom with tree tops waving at you through the windows. 1 double bed outside on an open balcony. 4single beds outside on an open balcony. 2 single bedrooms. 1 twin bedroom. These rooms are serviced with two shared bathrooms/toilets
We also have a self contained, 7 birth, back packers, with basic cooking facilities and its own shower and toilet facilities. Plus an outdoor bathroom for bathing under the stars!
