School Camps Holiday Programmes We are a camp with a difference! At Lakewood Lodge we promise you a stress free camp. We provide everything for you – the food, the instructors, the activities, even the transport. We do everything for you except put the students to bed!!!!
Farmstays We have dogs, cats, cows, big woolly sheep and cute little lambs, pigs and piglets, goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits and doves at Lakewood Lodge. You can pat and feed them and get your photo taken with them. They can’t wait to meet you!
English lessons Lakewood Lodge offers foreign students the perfect surroundings to learn English in a safe beautiful rural setting and enjoy adventure activities and country life.This Country Learning course is designed especially for 9 - 14 year olds with excellent pastoral care. Courses are available from 7 days to 3 months.
Horse trekking General points of horsemanship will be taught through basic activities and lessons from our friendly and experienced instructors. All safety precautions are undertaken.
Kayaking Our river is a gentle one suitable for beginning kayakers. Our instructor teaches you all skills necessary to have a great time. The more adventurous can kayak out to the lake - Lake Whangape where you can view the local bird life up close. You may even catch a koi carp on the river.
11 metre high Climbing Wall When you arrive at Lakewood Lodge one of the first attractions you will see is the 11metre high climbing wall. Climbing is all about your personal achievement and often it is about strength and skill. Pet animals There are many friendly animals at Lakewood Lodge. There are 14 horses here, all with great personalities. Two of them are beautiful white and brown miniatures, Jack and Daisy. We are training them to take small children for rides. All our horses are very well looked after and much loved.
