The ultimate bush and beach escape – new large open plan 1 or 2 bedroom studio overlooking Nine Mile Beach, Charleston, surrounded by native bush offering plenty of privacy. The Waves Studio has all the comforts of home... wood-burner, dishwasher, full laundry, microwave, fridge/freezer, BBQ, LCD television, DVD, sound system, and endless gas hot water for the very large spa bath.
The house sleeps four adults comfortably. There is a queen bed in the main room which can be closed off from the lounge area with the large sliding door. Adjacent to this bedroom is a dressing area with a large bathroom leading on from this. This has a two person spa bath with bi-folding windows opening to the bush. The second separate bedroom, which can be configured as either two king singles or one Californian king bed, has a bathroom with shower/toilet and washbasin.(This bedroom/bathroom is accessible if more than 2 guests staying). Both bathrooms have tiled floors with underfloor heating.
The large double-glazed sliders from both bedrooms and the living area open on to a timber deck affording panoramic views up the beach to Cape Foulwind. Just relax on the deck watching the ever-changing seascape or experience some of the local activities listed in our compendium. The Nile River lagoon is close by for safe swimming and there are some great walks in the area. We have 2 mountain bikes (with helmets) for guests to use and Punakaiki and Westport are only 20 minutes drive away.
